HOW TO MAKE
sweetsandthankyou.com
Caramel sauce can be intimidating, but this easy caramel sauce recipe is made for beginners! We'll walk you through every step so you can have homemade caramel sauce any time!
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup & water. Whisk to combine well
wipe down the pan so there aren’t a bunch of sugar crystals on the sides. (This helps prevent crystallization.)
WITHOUT STIRRING, let the sugar mixture come to a boil for 8-10 minutes, or until the bubbles slow down somewhat & the color is deep amber (~the color of a penny)
Remove from the heat, and carefully whisk in the cream. (It'll bubble--Watch out for splatters!)
Then, whisk in the butter, salt & vanilla. It'll seem thin at first, but...
The caramel will thicken as it cools. Now you can dip, drizzle & pour it on everything!
The biggest question is what you'll use it for next!
