In reply to Linda. Yep! Salt is a natural flavor enhancer, and it helps balance the flavors in these bars. Between the sweet cereal, cereal marshmallows AND the melted marshmallows, they can run a touch sweet on their own. I find that this tiny pinch of salt balances the flavors. I've made them with and without and I notice a difference when it's not there!
