Instructions
Make The Mint Simple Syrup:
- Combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, then turn off the heat and add fresh mint leaves.
- Steep the mint for at least 30 minutes up to 2 hours, then cool to room temperature.
- Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve and store in a glass jar.
- Mint syrup will keep several weeks in the fridge and can be made in advance.
To Make One Cranberry Moscow Mule Mocktail:
- Fill a copper mug (or collins glass) with ice.
- Pour in simple syrup, lime juice, cranberry juice, and ginger beer. If desired, top up the cup with sparkling water. Gently stir to combine the drink.
- Garnish with lime slices, cranberries, a fresh mint sprig, and more!
To Make Cranberry Moscow Mule Mocktails For A Crowd:
- Add ice to a punch bowl or large pitcher.
- Pour in simple syrup, lime juice, cranberry juice, and ginger beer. If desired, top up the pitcher with sparkling water. Gently stir a few times to combine (be gentle and slow so you don’t make it go flat)
- Garnish with lime slices, cranberries, a fresh mint sprig, and more!
Notes
- Mint Simple Syrup. Feel free to use a quality store-bought mint syrup, if you prefer. I like Sonoma Syrups brand.
- Ginger Beer. We did a whole taste test of brands, and Fever Tree and Reed’s are two brands we love!
- Cranberry Juice. If you don’t mind the tartness, you can absolutely use unsweetened 100% cranberry juice, but I find it runs a bit too tart for my taste here. Instead, I recommend a 100% juice cranberry juice blend. You can also just use sweetened cranberry juice, if you prefer.
For Stronger Cranberry Flavor:
- You can use equal parts ginger beer and cranberry juice (3 oz. each) and use straight 100% unsweetened cranberry juice.
