  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves

To Make ONE Cranberry Moscow Mule Mocktail:

  • Ice Cubes
  • 1/2-1 oz. 1-2 Tablespoons Mint Simple Syrup
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice 2 Tablespoons
  • 2 oz. Cranberry Juice Blend 1/4 cup**
  • 4 oz. Ginger Beer 1/2 cup
  • Optional: Club Soda or Sparkling Water

To Make Cranberry Moscow Mules For A Crowd (Serves 8):

  • 3-4 cups ice or more!
  • ¾ cup mint simple syrup 6 oz.
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice 8 oz.
  • 2 cups Cranberry juice cocktail 16 oz.
  • 4 cups Ginger Beer 32 oz.
  • Optional: 1-2 cups sparkling water or club soda

Optional Garnishes:

  • Lime slices lime wheels, lime slices, wedge of lime, etc.
  • Fresh cranberries or frozen cranberries
  • Sugared cranberries I like to line up a few on a cocktail pick
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Slices of fresh ginger

Instructions

Make The Mint Simple Syrup:

  • Combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, then turn off the heat and add fresh mint leaves.
  • Steep the mint for at least 30 minutes up to 2 hours, then cool to room temperature.
  • Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve and store in a glass jar.
  • Mint syrup will keep several weeks in the fridge and can be made in advance.

To Make One Cranberry Moscow Mule Mocktail:

  • Fill a copper mug (or collins glass) with ice.
  • Pour in simple syrup, lime juice, cranberry juice, and ginger beer. If desired, top up the cup with sparkling water. Gently stir to combine the drink.
  • Garnish with lime slices, cranberries, a fresh mint sprig, and more!

To Make Cranberry Moscow Mule Mocktails For A Crowd:

  • Add ice to a punch bowl or large pitcher.
  • Pour in simple syrup, lime juice, cranberry juice, and ginger beer. If desired, top up the pitcher with sparkling water. Gently stir a few times to combine (be gentle and slow so you don't make it go flat)
  • Garnish with lime slices, cranberries, a fresh mint sprig, and more!

Notes

  • Mint Simple Syrup. Feel free to use a quality store-bought mint syrup, if you prefer. I like Sonoma Syrups brand.
  • Ginger Beer. We did a whole taste test of brands, and Fever Tree and Reed's are two brands we love!
  • Cranberry Juice. If you don't mind the tartness, you can absolutely use unsweetened 100% cranberry juice, but I find it runs a bit too tart for my taste here. Instead, I recommend a 100% juice cranberry juice blend. You can also just use sweetened cranberry juice, if you prefer.

For Stronger Cranberry Flavor:

  • You can use equal parts ginger beer and cranberry juice (3 oz. each) and use straight 100% unsweetened cranberry juice.
