The best fruit dip around! This easy brown sugar cream cheese fruit dip recipe only takes 5 ingredients and less than 5 minutes to make. It's the perfect combination of flavors & makes every occasion a little more delicious!
1(8-ounce) block cream cheese, slightly softened at room temperature for 15-20 minutes
½cupbrown sugar, lightly packed(100 grams)
2Tablespoonssugar, optional(25 grams)
1teaspoonvanilla extract
pinchsalt(less than 1/8 teaspoon)
Optional Mix-Ins Or Garnishes:
Toffee bitslike Heath Bits'O'Brickle, caramel sauce, or mini chocolate chips
Instructions
Combine. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, brown sugar, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
Whip To Dissolve Sugar. Use a hand mixer on low speed, then increase to medium speed to beat and combine the ingredients. Beat at least 2-3 minutes, or until all sugar crystals are dissolved. (It shouldn’t look gritty or feel gritty if you rubbed it between your fingers.)
Serve & Store. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately with fresh fruit on a fruit tray. Or, you can store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3-4 days. (I recommend using a spoon or fork to give it a quick mix before serving if you make it in advance.)
Garnish (Optional) If desired, garnish the dip with a sprinkle of toffee bits, a drizzle of caramel sauce, or a few mini chocolate chips right before serving.
Notes
I recommend full-fat cream cheese here for the best flavor and texture. (Lite or low-fat cream cheese can be watery and clumpy.)
